Loc Extensions
Extensions of all kinds can also be crocheted into the hair “permanently” to help you begin the journey of locing your own hair, and depending on your desired results, this can begin with the raw materials of synthetic or human hair, or by purchasing pre made extensions. I use quotations around permanently because all extensions have an eventual expiration date where they will not longer look that great due to wear and tear, or they will have served their purpose in getting your own locs started, and you may be ready to wear your locs on their own.
Loc Creators
In the years since becoming a synthetic loc artist, I have taken on a lot more responsibility (motherhood and salon ownership to list the obvious ones) and it has left me little to no time to create loc extensions. Fortunately, there’s a world of talented people who are creating them, and here’s a short list of reputable artists.
